A Vivint Authorized Dealer is an independent business that Vivint Smart Home, Inc. authorizes to sell, quote, and schedule Vivint systems, while Vivint's own Smart Home Pros perform the installation and Vivint provides the monitoring. The dealer handles the sale and the appointment; the equipment, service agreement, warranty, and monitoring contract are issued by Vivint.

Buying through an authorized dealer differs from buying on vivint.com in 3 ways:
