The Reward
Both the referring customer and the new customer receive a reward chosen by Vivint, applied as an account credit rather than cash; there is no limit on how many referral rewards one customer can earn, extra credit rolls into later months, and any credit left when an account is cancelled is forfeited.
Vivint's rules say the type and amount are set at its discretion and may change. Ask Vivint for the current figure before relying on it.
5 Conditions for the New Customer
The person you refer must meet 5 conditions in Vivint's referral rules.
Conditions:
- Sign up for a full Vivint system; a DIY system makes the referral code ineligible. Vivint's terms list a package of at least $39.99 a month for 60 months, with satisfactory credit and home ownership.
- Not have been a Vivint customer in the 120 days before the referral.
- Activate through Vivint's Inside Sales team by phone, giving your referral code at the time of sale.
- Sign a standard customer agreement within the promotion period.
- Keep service active for 30 days after activation; the reward follows after that.
How to Refer
Get your referral code from Vivint, share it personally with a friend or family member, and ask them to give the code when they call Vivint's sales team; only one code counts per new customer, and the first one used at sign-up wins.
Vivint disqualifies customers who send mass texts or message people they do not know, so share it only with people you know.
Stacking With Deals
Referral rewards cannot be combined with other offers or promotions, so compare the referral credit with the current deal and take the larger one; Vivint's current national offer is free installation and $0 activation for new customers.
Because Vivint pays referral credits only on sign-ups through its own Inside Sales team, a purchase through an authorized dealer usually carries the dealer's promotions instead. The deals page lists what is current.
